Holidays & Kids Equal Chaos!

It is necessary to preface this post with the following statement:

I love my family.

I really do. But there are days when even the most patient saint in history would want to rip their own hair out and curse both heaven and hell. I walked through my house today, and realized that with most of my kids out of school for the holidays, it requires me to work harder than I would at a 40 hour a week job!

The family room has beads spread from one end of the room to the other from the girls art projects.

The laundry room has 3 times as much dirty laundry as it does when they are in school. Why? Because girls need to change 4 times a day to be happy!

The kitchen looks like a tornado hit, because the boys make food, leave the dishes where they land, the trash on the counter (because 3 steps to the garbage can is too much like work) and the leftovers are still on the plate on the table.

And that's not even mentioning the candy papers (Christmas candy anyone?), the craft crap...gotta decorate ya know, the fact that every TV in the house is on, and the fight about who's turn it is on the computer is raging on!

Love the holidays? I used too...now I can't wait till they are OVER!
